Where Does Eastern Lightning Come From?
Question 20: It’s written right there in the Bible: “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever” (Heb 13:8). So the name of the Lord never changes! But you say that when the Lord comes again in the last days He will take a new name and will be called Almighty God. How do you explain it?

Expert Urges European Countries to Show Solicitude for the Persecution of The Church of Almighty God

Expert Urges European Countries to Show Solicitude for the Persecution of The Church of Almighty God

On December 14, 2017, a news conference was held in the Chamber of Deputies, the Parliament of Italy in Rome, over the issue of Religious Freedom Violations in China—a Case Study of Persecution Against Christian Minorities. An internationally renowned research expert on new religions, Professor Massimo Introvigne, spoke at the conference and introduced his findings on The Church of Almighty God, confirming that the Zhaoyuan McDonald’s homicide case of 2014 in Shandong Province had nothing to do with The Church of Almighty God, that the CCP’s coverage of the case was false news fabricated by the CCP to persecute and suppress The Church of Almighty God. At the same time, he presented a study jointly completed with Mr. Willy Fautré, chairman of the Human Rights Without Frontiers. The report shows that despite having the largest number of people arrested in China, and more members seeking refuge in Italy and Europe than any other areas, the passing rate for the asylum applications of The Church of Almighty God’s members in Italy is merely 10%, while there have been several cases of repatriation in Switzerland. He indicated that this represented a grave violation of the International Refugee Convention, thereby expressing his strong condemnation. He called on all European countries to show solicitude for the persecution against Christians of The Church of Almighty God and the status quo of their applications for asylum as refugees.

#9 The Church of Almighty God’s Members Entitled to Refugee Status in S. Korea – Massimo Introvigne

#9 The Church of Almighty God’s Members Entitled to Refugee Status in S. Korea – Massimo Introvigne

On November 20–21, 2017, in just two days, seventeen reports attacking The Church of Almighty God (CAG) were published intensively on Ta Kung Pao and Wen Wei Po, the mouthpiece media of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in Hong Kong (HK), citing the rumors and fallacies consistently fabricated by the CCP to discredit and condemn the CAG. The reports also described at length the development of the CAG in South Korea. They claimed that the CAG had been condemned as a “cult” in Korea, and that the Korean government should not grant refugee status to Christians of the CAG. Prof. Massimo Introvigne, an Italian sociologist, the founder and managing director of the Center for Studies on New Religions (CESNUR), makes comment on this.

#10 The CCP Claims the Conditions of Religion in China Are Favorable. Massimo Introvigne: NOT True

#10 The CCP Claims the Conditions of Religion in China Are Favorable. Massimo Introvigne: NOT True

In 2017, from June 24 to 28, and from September 14 to 15, the Chinese Communist Party had held two international anti-cult academic conferences successively in Henan and Hong Kong. In a subsequent Chinese official report, it reads, “Experts express that from this research study, sufficient understanding has been gained on China’s religious and anti-cult policies, dispelling previous misunderstanding about the issues of cults in China. At the same time, the conditions of religious belief in China are observed to be favorable. The grassroots’ freedom of belief is well protected.” Prof. Massimo Introvigne, an Italian sociologist, the founder and managing director of the Center for Studies on New Religions (CESNUR), who was invited to both conferences, debunks the report as follows.
